✨ Oh, wallpaper… the endless options and the overwhelming commitment, right?

🤍Here are 5 simple wallpaper hacks to get your project started! You can absolutely transform your space without the commitment of a top-to-bottom wallpapered room!

🤍 1. Just 1 Accent Wall or the Ceiling (the 5th Wall)

Transform your space with an accent wall – pick one main wall or even the ceiling as your canvas. Whether it’s creating a chic crib wall or focusing on a bedroom’s statement wall (usually where the headboard is located), choose a wallpaper you adore and paste it onto that singular surface!

2. Commit Halfway!

Combine a painted lower wall with stunning wallpaper on top for a unique look. Introduce a thin trim between the two sections for a sleek and elevated aesthetic. Ensure the base color is darker than the wallpaper, or coordinate with one of the darker colors in the wallpaper to paint the lower half of the walls. The exception is if your wallpaper has a mostly white background; in that case, a white or light neutral on the lower part of the wall works too!

🖼️3. Frame it!

You can frame it with trim for a panel look or frame the wallpaper like an XXL canvas, avoiding the need to adhere it to the wall. This technique pairs well with murals you adore but don’t want to cover an entire wall with. Huge savings! An added bonus if you do paste it to the wall: little hands can’t pull it off (unlike decals), and you won’t have to worry about art falling into the crib or anchoring artwork to the wall. 🤍

💡4. Dip Your Toes in with Removable Peel & Stick Options for a Worry-Free Start!

A word of caution: it’s a giant sticker, and not all peel-and-stick wallpapers are created equally. They can be a bit tricky to apply without a plan to smooth out all the bubbles.

😬 5. Still Feeling Nervous?

Start small or in hidden rooms before tackling larger spaces. For instance, experiment with a small powder room, an accent wall, or a kid’s room first. Once you’re hooked on wallpaper, move on to bigger rooms!

✨Alternatively, use decals or stencils on the walls instead of wallpaper to achieve a wallpapered look without the cost. A warning if you choose the decal route: be prepared for your kids attempting to peel them off the wall! Stencils involve a bit more effort, but if you’re comfortable with paint, it’s no big deal – you can always paint over it!

These are some of the most affordable and low-commitment options to achieve the wallpaper look without the permanence and hefty price tag! ✨
